When your party is in our studio (1709 Hill Ave, Spirit Lake, IA 51360) you are welcome to bring in wine, beer, or non-alcohol beverage of your choosing. Iowa code does not allow other alcohol to be carried in.
If we are at one of our venues with a liquor license--wine, beer and other spirits can be purchased.
If we are at a venue without a liquor license we will be sure to inform you of their preference. Please refer to our event calendar details for those special instructions.
Wine openers, cups, napkins, and a small selection of non-alcohol beverages if you choose to purchase at a low price.
Doors open 30 Mins prior to events.
Arrive 15 minutes ahead of time and that should give you plenty of time to get checked in, get your supplies ready, pour yourself a drink and chat with your friends before we get started. Doors open 30 minutes ahead of time, we would like you to be in the building at least 15 minutes before the event; that way we can get the event started on time.
We all have those days where life gets in the way, of course it would be best if you could arrive on time or a few minutes early, but when that isn’t impossible our staff will assist you in catching up with the rest of the group.
The majority of our events are 2 hours, plan on being in studio a little over 2 ½ hours. We strive to start and end on time. Our Creative Kids events are 1 1/2 hours.
• Creative Kids Events, all “kids” welcome from 3 to 93. Ages 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult helper.
• Ages 12 plus may participate with painting parent/adult in our other events, with the exception of venues where only adults may enter.
We want friends and parties sit together. The best thing to do is have someone in your group arrive early to save the appropriate number of seats.

We provide canvases/boards, paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and other potential project supplies. You’ll go home with a completed painting or project, new awareness of your creativity, and many fun memories!
We will provide aprons, but you should wear paint-friendly clothes. We are painting with acrylic paints; paint will get on your hands, so keep that in mind. Creative Spirits is not responsible for paint damage.
The calendar for the upcoming month is posted by the third week of each month, however, check back frequently as NEW EVENTS are booked regularly with open seats for the public!
The process of registering for a Creative Spirits event is like buying theater or sporting event tickets online: you decide when you want to go, select the date and pay for the tickets online at that time. If a show is sold out priority goes to those who pre-pay.
Yes, if there are available seats! Please call us and we will let you know if there is space available for you and your party, 712-336-8186. We will be happy to fit you in, if we have room. In the event that a show is sold out priority will first go to those who have pre paid ahead of time.
To sign up online for a event, click the “register” link for the event you’d like to attend. Fill in the attendee information. If you are registering for more than one attendee, click the “Add more Attendees” link to add info for additional attendees. When finished, click submit. You will then be able to make your payment and confirm your reservation. An email confirmation will be sent once payment is received.
We do not refund admission if you are not able to attend, just as with a concert or sporting event. However, you may have someone attend in your place by contacting us in advance. If you have any questions please contact us at 712-336-8186 or email@example.com.
We will make our best effort to contact everyone on the list if we decide to postpone an event due to a weather emergency. We will set a new date for the event if you can’t make the new date let us know. We will post all weather related changes on our Facebook page, and send out an email to those registered.
Our online system allows us to accept Debit Cards, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and Paypal payments.
You are welcome to register online for yourself and anyone else. You may also have them call 712-336-8186 and we will assist them in the sign up process.

NEVER, we only use your email address to send you reminders, promotions, and news about Creative Spirits.

Go to our calendar, find an event you would like to attend, click register, enter your personal information and enter your gift certificate number in the voucher box. If you have problems registering or if you would like to use your gift certificate to attend an event at one of our other studios, please call 712-336-8186 and we will assist you.
